Lefkimmi is one of the most authentic places to stay or visit in South Corfu. It is not a polished beach resort, and that is exactly what makes it interesting. Instead of a tourist strip, you get a real Corfiot town with traditional houses, local cafés, riverside tavernas, quiet streets, churches, bridges, bakeries, everyday shops and a slower, more local rhythm.

This is the second major town of Corfu after Corfu Town, and it feels very different from the island’s busier holiday resorts. Lefkimmi is where you go if you want to see local South Corfu life, stay somewhere practical, explore nearby beaches, catch a ferry from Lefkimmi Port, or base yourself close to Kavos without staying directly in the party resort.
