Agios Ioannis Corfu Resort Guide: Aqualand, Restaurants, Beaches Nearby & Things To Do

Agios Ioannis is a peaceful inland village in central Corfu, best known as the home of Aqualand Corfu Water Park. It is not a beach resort, and that is exactly what makes it different from many of Corfu’s better-known holiday areas.

Instead of a seafront strip, Agios Ioannis gives you a quiet village base, countryside views, easy access to Aqualand, short drives to some of Corfu’s best beaches and good connections towards Corfu Town, Pelekas, Glyfada, Ermones and the west coast.

This is a practical and family-friendly area rather than a classic beach resort. It works especially well if you are staying at or near Aqualand, travelling with children, hiring a car, or looking for a central base that makes it easier to explore different parts of the island.

If your dream Corfu holiday is rolling out of bed and walking straight onto a sandy beach, Agios Ioannis may not be the best fit. But if you want water park fun, countryside calm, easy day trips and beaches within driving distance, it can be a very useful place to stay.
